Birth Mother Mentors pairs you with a woman who has walked this path β placement, grief, open adoption, reunion β so you never have to feel invisible again. Free, confidential, and always at your pace.
BirthMotherMentors.com began in 2016 when three birth moms met in a hospital support group and realized: pamphlets don't heal, people do. We built the village we needed β women who understand placement grief without explanation, who celebrate open adoption joys and sit with you in the hard anniversaries.
We are not an adoption agency. We don't place children and we don't profit from adoption. We are an independent, birth-mother-led nonprofit community offering emotional support before, during, and for a lifetime after placement.

1 in 3 birth mothers report severe isolation in the first year. We replace silence with sisterhood, shame with story, and grief with grounded tools.

We believe love makes many families. Your grief is valid, your love is real, your future matters. Healing is not forgetting β it's integrating.

No fees, no insurance, no reports to agencies. What you share with your mentor stays with your mentor. You set boundaries, always.
Join one circle or all β in-person in 12 cities and online everywhere via Zoom + private chat.

Matched by placement timeline, openness, faith, age. Weekly calls/texts for 6 months, then alumni sisterhood. Includes postpartum check-ins and anniversary support.

Themed circles: Considering Placement, Newly Placed (0-12 mo), Years Later, Open Adoption Navigating, Reunion Ready, Faith & Grief, Art Journaling.

Practical workshops: telling your story, boundaries with adoptive families, workplace rights, college & career grants, trauma-informed therapy referrals, self-care kits.
Non-directive, pressure-free space to explore parenting, kinship, and adoption. Decision workbooks, hospital planning, and 24/7 text line staffed by birth moms.
Letters, visits, social media boundaries, navigating hard feelings when contact changes. Role-plays + mediator referrals.
Placement anniversaries, due dates, Mother's Day can hurt. We send remembrance boxes, host candlelight Zooms, and check in without you asking.
All mentors are vetted, trained, and supervised. Filter by story β then request your match.
